Reconstructing SpaceTime Value

SpaceTime is a construct within which we confine ourselves. I would say this about money too – it’s just paper (or digital transfers).  We give it value beyond what it deserves. Worshiping $?  We chase time and money to fill an emptiness that won’t or can’t be filled these ways. We sometimes allow time, space, and money to sever aspects of our lives that are so much more valuable. We sometimes compromise our inner wisdom for outward wealth.

The construct of time (an hour) is given a construct of value (dollar amount) which is variable at best. Why is one person’s hour more valuable than another’s? How can one person sit on their ass and not perform but get paid out the ass? We become slaves to both time and money if we allow it. Resist sinking blindly into greed and desire for more and you might find you always have more than you really need.  Defend your connection with your sense of purpose and abundance flows. Trade the pursuit of passing hours to collect dollars for the hunger of passionate purpose. Stave off the hungry ghosts, never satisfied, that live in all of us. Take rest and bask in the blessings rather than the busy.

Let’s rebuild the foundation of the constructed reality with new understandings of what is truly valuable: respectful and lovingly kind relationships; clean air, water, and soil; good physical, mental, and spiritual health.  We can connect our innate value with our soul’s purpose in this life.  This connection to purpose is, I think, one of the most valuable and healing things a person can give their self and the world.  We need to agree upon some new constructs and create a more productive and supportive human world.  (The earth is better without us.)

Permaculture has a saying “produce to need, not greed”.  It also suggests to meet your own needs first then share the extras. SpaceTime doesn’t really exist (they say) so why constrict ourselves by these constructions?  If/when we take time to find the innate and radical value of our soul’s purpose, we might find our boundlessness and timelessness which has far more value to our lives and the world than dollars.
